Started a Podcast: My Apple and Me

2009.11.27

So a friend and I have started a new podcast called My Apple and Me. It’s basically just Steve and I shooting the breeze about Apple news and applications. We have actually been recording for a couple of months now, but we think we finally have a couple of good shows and decided it was time to publicize it.

My Apple and Me is a weekly show (mostly, there might be a break in that schedule on occasion) with Steve Hargrove and myself. We try to keep in around 30 minutes long and typically talk about Apple news and applications that we like both Desktop and iPhone/iPod touch apps.

It’s no “This Week In Tech”, but it’s not bad. The main idea is that we have fun recording it and hope that others have fun listening to it.

If you like it too, please post comments on the site. We would love to hear from our listeners and any suggestions will more than likely be taken.

Posterous Blog

2009.10.14

For a while now, I have been posting to a Posterous blog called “Dave Metzener’s Posterous” (yeah, I know, not very original) as well as this one. I use the Posterous blog for things I find that I just want to make a short comment on or highlight for others to see too.

I have 25 posts out there now, and more come at a rate of about 5-10 a week. Basically, when I find something that catches my eye, I want to comment on but the blog that posted the article doesn’t take comments, I want to remember for later, or is just downright interesting, I’ll post it there instead of my main blog.

This way, I can post about more things without having to bother finding artwork (I know I don’t have to, but I like posting artwork per post on this blog), or really doing much of any research.

Think of it as a glorified links blog for this site.

This Weblog Is Switching To Feedburner For It’s RSS Feeds

2009.08.10

I’ve decided to take the plunge and use Feedburner.com for my RSS feeds instead of what WordPress creates. No huge deal, and I suspect that there are not that many people out there that are actually subscribed to my feeds. If you are, this is a note to let you know that you should probably re-subscribe to them. I suspect the old WordPress feeds will stop updating now.

I’m making this change mostly for the statistics and also to support a great service.

Thanks for hanging in there with me and I hope I’ve been helpful in some way to you in my writings.
